Chateau
La Grâce Fonrazade
Chateau La Grace Fonrazade was given a new lease of life in 2011. The property may be in the perfect location, less than 300 m from 1er Grand Cru Classé A, but it didn’t produce new vintages since the 80’s !It’s a revival to some extent. We bought the main house in late 2011 and, after thinking long and hard, we decided to completely renovate the buildings in 2013 with new cellars for our fine organic grapes to ” blend” traditions and technology, with 100% of the procedures in the winery up to the bottling line. The wineyards weren’t left out as a redevelopment project with 9000 vines per hectare began at the same time.We also take the utmost care of the old plots on the property, some of which date to 1933 and some are used to make the estate’s premium wine: Saint Emilion Grand Cru “Chateau La Grace Fonrazade”.

The owner's pitch.
Château La Grâce Fonrazade is a family winery. Our estate is young and our Saint-Emilion terroirs have not yet released all their secrets, so we are investing heavily in the knowledge and mastery of the complementary terroirs that we have. The considerable investments made in the estate allow us to enter a virtuous and encouraging phase. All this while being in organic and ISO 14001 managment. Our complementary origins allow us to maintain a great demand: An experienced trader in her former profession, Bénédicte Simonet will study your markets to set up long-term commercial relations, François-Thomas will know , always with an overflowing passion, to accompany you with their team for this discovery.

Château La Grâce Fonrazade Saint Emilion Grand Cru have a density playing on finesse and elegance, in structure as well as in aromatic richness. Both modern and very Saint-Emillionnais. On a blend of Merlot Noir accompanied by Cabernets Sauvignons and Cabernets Francs. Velvety, with a rich and ripe aromatic complexity, precise and elegant. Can be enjoyed from the 4th / 5th years.
The Chateau La Grâce Fonrazade White, dense and fresh at the same time, rich and elegant will confuse the most keen palates! We work in a single varietal, Sauvignon Gris bringing a palette of exotic fruits underlined by aromas of white flesh fruits such as peach. It is usually ready after 2 to 3 years.
