Appellation : Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé
Chateau Laroze
1610 Like a jewel nestled between the hillsides, Château Laroze preserves one of Saint-Emilion’s greatest treasures. 400 years of family history form the living memory of both Saint-Emilion and the property, of which Guy Meslin is today the custodian, even more than the owner. 27 hectares of vines take place around a magnificent wooded park of 2 hectares and a 19th century building, Napoleon III style. A vineyard at the foot of the hill, all in one piece, the property is located 1.5 km northwest of the historic village of Saint-Emilion. It is on its soil both siliceous – bringing finesse and elegance, and clay – allowing structure – that the history of Château Laroze wines begins around these 5 grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot.

The owner's pitch.
“Our goals :
• Working to provide a wine – imbued with great biodiversity – without pesticide residue.
• Dare to aim for the purity of the wine without ever disturbing the natural balances of the wine-growing ecosystem, because one cannot go without the other.
• Respecting the balance, preserving and enhancing the complexity of the taste and the aromatic radiance.
• To highlight the expression of the terroir in the wines through the expression of minerality and purity.
• Consider that our environmental footprint must be as light as possible. We share this view with our service providers. This is why we select our suppliers on the basis of a real and serious environmental commitment. “

A discreet, measured attack, marked by Merlot then, once in the mouth, a wine that rises in aromatic intensity and taste power with the expression of Cabernet Franc, A long, fresh and tasty finish, fruit of the alchemy of the blend of 5 grape varieties: Merlot (60%), Cabernet Franc (30%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%), Malbec and Petit Verdot.
