The owner's pitch.

“Born in Calais and passionate about wine, I realised a dream when I became owner of the 29 hectares of Chateau Côte Montpezat. I immediately believed in the quality of this terroir. I learned from each plot and quickly became convinced that the quality of the grapes is the first condition to make a good wine. Today, we adapt our work to the needs of the vineyard while respecting the environment. This philosophy continues in the cellar with the same requirements of achieving ultimately one goal: to propose a wine for pleasure to be tasted young but suitable for a long ageing.”

The Cuvée Compostelle is characterised by a beautiful dark red colour, with aromas of red fruit, blueberries, blackberries and black cherries, discreet spices on the nose and a palate, elegantly blended with hints of vanilla from the oak barrels with a fresh finish. Nicely balanced, drinkable now but its tannic structure makes it suitable for long ageing.
