Terra Vitis and High Environmental Value (HEV) level 3 certified (sustainable agriculture), Château Haut-Lagrange is a family owned winery created in 1989 by the Boutemy family. Located at the heart of Pessac-Léognan, at about 15km to the south of Bordeaux, the vineyard enjoys a remarkable terroir ; a graves soil on a very famous appellation. With 8,5 ha (21 acres), the vines of Château Haut-Lagrange are the typical grape varieties present in Bordeaux area : Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot for red wine, Sauvignon and Sémillon for white wine.

“My father Francis created the winery in 1989. Château Haut-Lagrange has a surface area of 8,5 ha (21 acres), including 1 ha (2.47 acres) for the white, 7.5 ha (17.30 acres) for the red. I took over the management in 2013. Located at the heart of Pessac-Léognan appellation, this confidential vineyard endeavours to produce world-known terroir wines, in the respect for the environment. We welcome you at the winery to let you discover our passion all the year long.”

Red: the Château Haut-Lagrange red wine if produced on 7.5 ha (17.30 acres) and is composed of 45 % Merlot and 55% Cabernet Sauvignon. The winelovers like the complexity, the authenticity and the finesse of this terroir wine, one of the best in its appellation.
White: the Château Haut-Lagrange white wine is produced on 1 ha (2.47acres). This limited micro-cuvee is made up of 50 % Sauvignon and 50% Sémillon. The lovers of this wine like the fruity, complex and elegant style, as well as its aromatic freshness. This wine is a non-standard in our appellation.
