Chateau
Bel Air

Appellation : Sauternes

The adventure began in 1648. Ten generations of winegrowers, in love with their environment, passed on to us their precious experience in respecting the terroir. Ten generations and still as much enthusiasm. On the heights of Sainte-Croix-du-Mont, the wines of Château Bel Air express all the typicality of its terroirs thanks to a remarkable freshness reflecting its limestone soils of fossilized oysters. The layers of fog during the Indian summer allow us to work with this famous fungus: botrytis, also called noble rot.

The owner's pitch.

Our know-how is based on a skilful blend of modernity and tradition personified by Clémence and Jean-Guy. For them, a single watchword: “The best intervention in the vineyards or in the cellar is the one we can do without”. They are both mobilized and pursue a common goal, that of offering wines that know how to hold their rank. What could be more enjoyable than sharing privileged moments with family, friends or colleagues around authentic products ?

The exotic fruit is blending with apricot notes and floral notes. The palate is balanced and harmonious. The finish is delicate, marked by a touch of acidity. The aging potential can go up to 15 years. It will go just as well with scallops as with cheeses.
