Chateau de Cruzeau

Appellation : Pessac-Leognan

Château de Cruzeau is a 98-hectare estate located on the borders of Saint-Médard-d’Eyrans, in the southern part of the Pessac-Léognan wine region, in the Graves. Its origins date back to the 17th century, when Jacques de Cruzeau, an important Bordeaux lawyer, founded this estate and gave it its wine-making vocation. Taken over in the 18th century by a wealthy merchant, Sieur Nolibois, Cruzeau wines were already recognised on the Place de Bordeaux for their finesse by the best brokers of the time. Bought in 1975 by André Lurton for its remarkable gravelly terroir, Château de Cruzeau continues to distinguish itself by the elegance of its wines.

Wines.

The red wines of Château de Cruzeau are distinguished by their elegance, the perfect expression of their exceptional gravelly terroir. Authentic wines with a bouquet favoring notes of undergrowth enhanced with red fruits and vanilla. They will perfectly accompany a nice cheese platter or a braised lamb mouse.
The white wines of Château de Cruzeau leave the memory of a lively and distinguished ensemble with delicate notes of white flowers, exotic fruits and citrus fruits. The palate is moderately ample and presents a beautiful structure with balanced acidity. Particularly elegant, it will be a pleasure to taste it with a blanquette of veal or a fish risotto.
