It is in the center of Cérons, in the heart of Graves, and at few kilometers hardly from the Sauternais , that opens the gate of Grand Enclos de Cérons. The Estate includes a large and elegant bourgeois house dated 1875 and giving onto an enclosure surrounded with a three meters high wall which contains 10 hectares of vineyard.The Estate further owns and cultivates 20 hectares on the magnificent plateau of Podensac. This wine lover and Bordeaux enthousiast has only one purpose:emphasize all terroir’s potential and elaborate wines of exception , either in red , or white or sweet . just outside Cérons. It has been taken over in 2000 by Giorgio Cavanna, former co-owner of one of the nicest estates of Tuscany : the Castello di Ama, a reference of Chianti Classico.

“The search for quality starts in the vineyard : manual leaves thinning out , green harvest , reasoned cultivation etc…are performed each year . Grape harvest is by hand and made with several passages for the white and sweet wines . The cellar, entirely renovated and enlarged , combines tradition and modernity , allowing to bring all the necessary care required for the elaboration of outstanding wines . The technical team is not lesser with in control Xavier DAUBA and Bertrand LEON, son of the famous and highly respected winemaker of Mouton Rothschild.”

The Grand Enclos of Château de Cérons is a 30 hectare estate located in the heart of the Graves region Graves region, a few kilometers north of Sauternes. Historically known since the 19th century for the quality of its terroir and today managed as a as a Grand Cru Classé, the estate produces wines of great expression with a long ageing potential in the three colors of the Bordeaux flagship, the red Graves, the dry white Graves and the and the noble rot sweet wine in the Cérons appellation. A unique characteristic in the world united with a philosophy full of passion and commitment that has has more to do with craftsmanship and art than winemaking… “
