In the heart of the commune of Saint-Hippolyte, the history of Château Monlot began in the 13th century, when it was nothing more than a hunting lodge for King Louis XIII. Over the following centuries, the château was given the name Monlot as land was parcelled out. Today, with a vineyard of almost 7 hectares, 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, Château Monlot strives to bring out the very best in this exceptional terroir. Its two wines, Château Monlot and Héritage de Monlot, reflect this, with two very different wines highlighting the different characteristics of the estate’s soils.

Its fresh, fruity character makes it an easy wine to enjoy. The omnipresence of Merlot gives it roundness, while the tannins are present but silky, with a lively bouquet of red fruit.
