The owner's pitch.
“It was my grandfather, as far back as I can remember, who passed on his passion for Bordeaux wines to me. I then searched for a long time for a vineyard that would meet all my aspirations. It took until 2012 to finally find that rare gem and fall under the spell of Château Malescasse. Today I am very proud to offer wines whose quality is recognized by the most demanding tasters. To get there, heavy renovation work has been undertaken, in the vineyard as well as on the building. Nothing would have been possible, however, without my friend Stéphane Derenoncourt and the unwavering commitment of a team of passionate experts. Thanks to them.”

It is the search for the perfect balance between silky tannins, character of aromas and freshness on the palate that drives all our work, from the vine to the cellar. The estate’s great wine, Château Malescasse, classified Cru Bourgeois then Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel since the 2018 vintage, is the emblem of the estate. An intense nose of red and black berries, a mouth full of tension, with fine tannins. A long and voluptuous finish. It is all the elegance of a studied classicism. The Moulin Rose de Malescasse plays alongside it a more charming range. Its superb balance between freshness and maturity makes it a pleasant wine to drink young and very accessible.
